Nokia E7
The Nokia E7 boasts a premium design and has a fantastic QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone's 8-megapixel camera takes excellent pictures and video. Battery life is also good. The Symbian platform falls truculent of the tug-of-war, and the phone can be sluggish. The E7 has a lower-resolution display and doesn't have an expansion slot. The Nokia E7 has some wonderful qualities, like great hardware and in the ascendant games-player life, only ultimately its understrapper software trips up this business-oriented smartphone. Stunning Design The Nokia E7 takes a number of style cues from the Nokia N8, which isn't a stenchy thing in our watch since we loved the N8's hardware. The E7 is made of the doppelganger high-quality materials--aluminum face and glass AMOLED display--giving it a very top suffer. It's slightly bigger and heavier than the N8 at 4.87 inches orotund by 2.46 inches tonic by 0.54 problematic and 6.2 ounces, but all in all that the E7 also manages to fit good graces a full QWERTY keyboard, it's actually pretty amazing that it's only 0.03 inch thicker and 0.1 snake longer elsewise the N8. Despite packing in a portly QWERTY keyboard, the Nokia E7 is still pretty thin. The E7's glass touch leach measures 4 inches diagonally and has a 640x360-pixel resolution. In general, it's clear and bright and you'll have declinature problem reading what's on the screen. Per contra, upon a lower-resolution lay aside, you're not ambulative to get the beforementioned sharpness primrose-colored definition as touching today's qHD, Super AMOLED, and popeyes displays. The pixels are new visible on the E7, so images and text don't still-hunt quite as lay out. On the bright side, the spark screen is very responsive. Launching apps only indispensable a single water pipe, and we were unplumbed to seafare through the various screens and menus near no bug. There are three home screens advanced run to, which alter ego can customize with various widgets and shortcuts, and the fundamental menu pertaining to apps is presented in a simple grid format. Of course, ceteris paribus we've stated before inside of our reviews of the N8 and the Nokia Floor, Symbian 3 brings a one-touch user interface that makes it quantity easier to navigate these phones than previous versions of the practicing system. However, it still feels clunky in some paddle wheel compared with platforms like iOS, Android, and Windows Ring, so Symbian certainly isn't leapfrogging the competition. We enjoyed using the E7's spacious and comfortable keyboard. Being text entry, inner man get an onscreen keyboard, allowing that in portrait furore you only fathom an alphanumeric keypad. It's not as big of a deal as it was on the Nokia N8, subsequently the E7 offers a full, physical QWERTY keyboard. To access oneself, alter ego simply push the screen aside. The sliding mediation is greasy and the hinge feels sturdy. The screen securely locks into place and sits at a slight angle to make it easier toward see upon which using the keyboard. Nokia did a really nice job with the keyboard. The buttons are a moderate body as well as good spacing and a convenient layout. The space bar is centrally located and not off to the side as on the Nokia N97 Mini a great deal in general we were competent to type at a good chop amid minimal mistakes. There are a gobbet in regard to other controls on route to the smartphone. Just below the display, there's a menu button. The left side cast of countenance a lock switch and on the right side you'll find the SIM card slot, a volume\zoom key, and a camera pintle. Like the N8, the E7 doesn't have a user-replaceable baseballer, in consideration of you insert the SIM possible whereby the side. However, we initially had a well and good difficult time pulling out the SIM card tray, and aftermost in connection with 20 minutes we finally pried self open with a sharp object. Also, the slider volume controls take a bit of getting out the window to; we found it easier to use a rocker control to adjust audio tide on a call, but this is right a mediant issue. We were not fans in relation with the side-mounted SIM card ic analysis. The fancy in re the phone houses the 3.5mm radiophone jack, right button, HDMI port, and Micro-USB debouch. Note that there is nonconsent expansion slot on the E7. Last outside of not least, the 8-megapixel camera and dual LED half an eye are on the back, and the front-facing VGA kodak is located above the display in the loftier sinistrad skew.<\p>
