the locks to his door click open , and spencer opens the door in such a way that it would allow austin to enter first. he had assumed that when she was coming to visit him that she’d stay over at his place , so his place is probably as neat as it was ever going to be. his desks still had mounds of papers and books on them , but the stands next to his couch were clear aside from a lamp and coasters. no tv stands in the living room -- instead , the walls were covered with bookshelves. ( his tv is in his room , mainly because he doesn’t usually get company over ).
he sets down austin’s luggage that he was carrying closer to his bedroom , and he explains , ‘ there’s only one bedroom and one bath , sorry , but the bedroom is almost as big as the living room. ’ spencer suspects that the apartment used to be split up into a few different rooms with much smaller dimensions but it had been opened up by one of the previous owners. ‘ if you’d like to take a shower , clean towels are in the closet inside of the bathroom , and i have a lot of extra toiletries if you find that you’re missing something that you may need. feel free to take and use whatever you’d like. ’ as he’s explaining , spencer removes the gun from his person and kneels down to lock it in the relatively hidden gunsafe in one of the fake desk drawers that’s a part of one of his desks. once he’s finished , he stands and offers austin a shy smile. ‘ make yourself at home. ’
