You’ll be dearly missed. You were a great person to have met; you are so kind, so helpful, so generous, so willing to talk to strangers and make others laugh. You gave many people gifts because you wanted to show you care, and I admire that about you.

I always looked forward to every reply you sent my way, whether it was for Naminé or Agnès. Building a relationship with Roxas with either girl was exciting and fun, and I could feel each one loving him in her own way. You’re a talented writer, and it showed.

If you ever decide to return to Roxas--and I truly hope you do--know that you’ll be welcomed back with open arms.

Roxas was no fool, he knew she was just fooling around, but still the urge to get defensive over it boiled within him. Even if it wasn’t precisely directed to his persona. Still got defensive over it. Hm..now he questioned why that was the case. To her words of the far too familiar classical song, the young man found himself blushing when she set to rest her hand on his shoulder thus causing him to avert his gaze from her own. “…”

He didn’t hold the wish in leaving her hanging like that so the boy mumbled the verses that followed afterwards. “Y-You’ll be here in my heart..always. Why can’t they understand t-the way we feel? They just don’t trust what they can’t explain. I know we’re different, but deep inside us w-we’re not that different at all.”

Somehow, she hadn’t expected that. Naminé hadn’t expected him to follow after her. The verses he spoke hit her suddenly, and she felt as if everything stopped. It was true. They were different... but they were the same, too. She and Roxas were people too, weren’t they? Wasn’t that what he had just been protesting?

“Now and forevermore,” she whispered, skipping a line. “You’ll be in my heart,” she began again, properly this time. “No matter what they say. You’ll be here in my heart, always.” They weren’t doing this in order, but--it didn’t have to be.

The first snowfall of the year was horrendously late. But again, Manhattan never expected much. Even this late into December. Vanitas sat on his balcony railing overlooking 5th Avenue with a smoke in one hand and a molasses cookie in the other, paying more attention to the pastry than the cigarette.

He jolted in shock, dropping the smoke as he snagged the railing in reflex when a cold projectile smacked him on his shoulder, snow falling over his sweater. He quickly looked to see the source of the snowball and then scoffed when he saw Roxas. "~You little fucker. You owe me a cigarette.~" he said through a full mouth, wiping his lips with his sleeve.
