Brexshit, 6 years of shit.
So, just for the ameboa on Saturn who are still unaware, 6 years ago the results were announced of a non legally binding advisory referendum over the UK's membership of the EU.
This result showed a remarkably small majority in favour of the UK leaving the EU (a 52/48% split between leave and remain of the votes cast).
Unfortunately, this was held up by various flagshaggers, gammons and other assorted fuckwits as an undeniable and clear sign the UK population were opposed to continuing EU membership and a process was eventually begun to leave the EU which was finally completed in January 2021 after negotiations had been extended 3 times).
Now since then we have seen food shortages, a rising cost of living, economic recession, increased barriers to international trade, an increasing likelihood of political violence in Ireland, the possible breakup of the UK as a political entity and attempts to undermine human rights and political freedoms, all of which were predicted and warned about before the referendum happened but were dismissed as 'baseless scaremongering by people who weren't patriotic enough'.
On the other hand, none of hundreds of (ready to go) trade deals that were promised have yet to come into existence and the whole process has cost a huge amount of money for no discernable benefit to anyone other than the super rich who use the UK as a base for their Quasi legal financial shenanigans.
