Hey! I’m planning on baking some sweet potatoes today, and thought to ask the resident Morrowind fan on my dash about what flavors you think the Dunmer’d use. On Reddit fans agree that the bugs they cook with would add some sourness to their dishes.

I’m gonna use soy chorizo that’s a bit vinegary, onions, maybe some garlic, a little shredded cheese for scuttle - only I can’t think of anything else to differentiate it from all the similar recipes online. Any ideas?

Hmm, that’s a good question. I associate the Dunmer with Southeast Asia, so spices like cumin, black peppercorns, dill, and maybe a little cinnamon come to mind. Chilies, too.

When I picture the ash yams in the game, a family recipe comes to mind— sweet potatoes baked in butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon with marshmallows (like marshmerrow!).
