My year of art in review, 2024

This year I didn’t draw nearly as much as I wanted, but I learned a lot about the nature of art and my own abilities.

The most important lesson I learned was how to finish my art digitally. I no longer feel pressured when drawing: I feel invincible, like I can do anything if given enough time. Lack of time has been my bane for this last decade, and often, I left things as sketches because it was all I could manage before.

But now, I feel no need to rush to complete or even get to a stopping point, and that means I’ve just been really enjoying finding my own process in digital painting.

This year, I’ve finished far more pieces than ever before, and I’m extremely proud of them.

Although I mainly create fir my own stories, many of the faces above belong to characters created by @p-p-panda, who collaborates with me and inspires me every day. I love making stories with you, Pandie💕💕
