"Hey Sleepy Head". heh.
There's a new email in your inbox from [email protected]
Hi Rosario, It’s me, Trevor.
Ah, I hope you’re still using this email. I haven’t been able to get to the park in a bit… Anyway I have some good and some bad news. Good news first: I’m going to ask my doctor to move out of the clinic so I can move in with my girlfriend. She’s been wanting me to do so when I’m better, but to be honest I was too much of a cowardly bachelor. It’s a big commitment, but I think I’m ready now. So wish me luck to convince my physician! Also good news: I’m finally going back to work. Sadly not full time yet, only eight hours! ¬_¬ Including breaks even. ¬_¬ But it’s a good start I guess… And now the bad news: Since I’m hopefully moving in with Raven, I wont be in walking distance of the park anymore. And since I’m going to be a bit more busy with work (and also Raven hopefully) I wont have so much time to actually make the trip to the park very often. And that’s really bad news, because you can’t imagine how much hanging out with you helped me. (Except from when you convinced me to be extraordinarily lazy) I’m so thankful Ros! If you ever need anything. And I mean anything! Just ask, I’ll figure something out! I’d really like to stay in contact with you. So maybe we could still plan things every now and then? You could send me an info when you’re going to do another study group in the park, so I can put it in my schedule. Or link me some events and we can see what I have time for? Email communication would be great too!
Hoping to hear from you soon,
Trevor
Ronove checked his mails every day. Multiple times.
He still was rather surprised to find one with the 'important' note stuck to it. Not many senders got that addition. A handful. And this one. Made him smile.
And reading it even more.
He didn't like being lazy? Are you sure, dear?
Well. For the time being... he was still recovering, mh?
Mmmmmh...
Shrugging, he wrote a reply:
'Alright then! Tuesday, 17:00, the fountain on the market, be there!
And, just so you know, Mr. 'Cured-workaholic', 8 hours are a normal worktime. Breaks excluded, admittedly, but it's a full time job. You probably shouldn't even do that, so stop complaining.
WAY TO GO, though! Make her happy, man! And be glad about the time you have with her instead of wanting more worktime. Enjoy life!
Until we meet again ;P '
There. That should be fine.
Arabian Tentbusiness
It had been a week. A week was okay. Coming back in a week was completely acceptable.
There needed to be an occasion as well, after all...
And so he found one. Running entirely on guesswork, there. But he had a good feeling about it. The skin colour of Trevor was incredibly white, but it had a slight touch of darker skin. As if he... well... moved here VERY early.
He guessed northern - very very north - Africa. Arabian countries. Maybe close to Israel, considering him being Jewish... but yes... old traditions there involved... speaking Arabian - high and low, so he arranged for both ways of speaking -, wearing the traditional clothing and of course Arabian food. Chicken and lamb and some beef and camel as meets, kosher bread, dates, figs, almonds, peanuts, pine nuts, pistachios, and walnuts, honey, lots of yogurt...
It was an actually rather tasty mix. All prepared and cooled, only to be roasted for consumption. This of course happened outside the tent he had gotten, even if there was a huge fireplace in the middle that could be used... no, that was just for warming purpose... And to keep the Samovar filled with tea warm.
Around the fire was a ring of ash, then thick carpets and tons of pillows.
And these whole surroundings were now, around 11, completely filled with language-students, which had to talk in Arabian the whole day. Everyone who didn't, would get thrown out of the tent.
He helped them do their homework, talked a lot, carried conversations and made everyone feel comfortable in the pillows by being the organizer and falling back into them, happily.
It actually turned into a well-received little celebration of '15 years Arabian courses'. Even if they all had to go at 4 pm to catch their lecture.
Just like he had planned...
Trevor would have heard a commotion in the park during this day. Very faintly, it was on the other side of the park, but it would be noticable, since there would have been more people walking through than usual, especially young people.
And then, around 4:30, Ronove would show up at the bench of the working man and speak to him in Arabian: <<Hellooooo~ I am pleased to see you again, Trevor! How are you? Apart from overworked, I mean...>>
Happiness is Mandatory
Three weeks after being introduced to his task, he knew his way around the program and fed it with the most basic information of every angel.
And Quph. This little person that constantly buzzes around him didn't work half as much as he did and still constantly brought crucial information that made the job easier and actually doable. Some decisions couldn't have been made with such ease and had required intense research, only that she brought in another angle and it suddenly... clicked.
He had learned to appreciate the things she suggested and filled in, always watching what she added to the database.
But now?
Now he really wasn't sure what to think.
Taking Gabriel out of duty for a day? That was insane!
Looking at all the data, it was not at all acceptable. Past years had Gabriel working nonstop and it was still almost catastrophic. Of course there were new workers, but they barely started. Statistics would say they weren't ready. They need Gabriel's guidance.
But Quph added 'personal information'. The anomaly of the baby angel 'Matia' - causing her so be distracted and not completely with the task at hand, the personal state after gaining a new corporation, especially not being fully trained yet, having lost in speed in stamina for the time being. And the additional incentive of the new workers asking for a time to 'prove themselves'.
Aphan still frowned and did not wish to actually give this clearance. He tried to check back with the Metatron as well, but he seemed to be away from his PC. And was not to be disturbed for the next week if this was not the case, by his doctors orders.
In the end, it was 'trying something new'. And this day was not too packed, either. So he fixed the schedules and sent one to the archangels home, before they left the house in the morning, it would arrive:
TODAY'S SCHEDULE:
Forced Vacation
No permit to access working areas.
Duties: Relaxation.
Aphan - on behalf of the Metatron.
Another note was sent to Raphael, informing him that the Metatron does not answer and that he is allowed to treat Gabriel, it would not interfere with scheduling.
Metatron, too, was informed of the decision in an E-Mail
Brotherly visit
So his brother had gotten himself into hospital... and not just any hospital, nono... the 'European Undying Hope', no less. Ah well, was the best for keeping him a secret as well. Maybe not that bad then... he would see.
Ayn had been delivered there. Poor girl. Had been strong. Seen a lot. Must have been terrifying. But well, as far as he remembered, there was a guerilla-war in her zone right now. Some things can't be taken in by pure angels and leave them intact. Ah well.
Snapping himself into something presentable and business-casual, took a step forward and put his foot down in Metatrons room. During the next step, already frowning and scanning the room.
With the third step, his staff was whirled into existence out of nowhere and stopped directly on Metatrons sternum.
"Greetings... brother" - his eyes were narrowed - "...what exactly happened to you?" - the words were quite calm. Actually quite emotionless. No rhymes.
