Probation
He listened, impressed.
"Well that sounds feasible… although I doubt we’ll be getting rid of paper any time soon. There just aren’t enough angels with the means or know how to completely switch to digital input… The scanner sounds good though, we’ll work something out…" he smiled. These two were such a good team. Great minds! "We could use one of Heaven’s many branches as a test project to see how it works before we have a complete roll-out… There’s no use in trying to implement anything fully now what with the holidays, but that leaves us enough time to iron out flaws until Easter…"
"It is a backlog-reducing system", he stated. Simply.
And Quph added: “If there are any more words needed: He did not mean to get the whole process to be digitalised. But the backlog can scan itself and then we deal with it. The new reports may be treated like they always have been. Even though digital copies are preferable, anyway.
"If there aren’t that many new ones, I don’t see any kind of problem”
"Ah, I see now. Digitalising only the backlog. I’m all up for that… do you happen to have a that programmed already?" he said, looking at Aphan, kind of expecting it. "If not, give me a few days, I can only do that from up here and there’s some security patching I need to get done first…"
The gleam in Aphan's eyes should be answer enough. A few pushes of his phone's buttons later, his superior had the raw code and the associated program on his laptop.
Quph meanwhile said: "Yes. Yes, he has. and he'd let it be reviewed by you, sir, if it is not too much trouble", she was smiling, like always, but a little more amused this time around.
"Security patching, though?", she raised a brow, not sure what to think of it...?
But then bt into a piece of pizza.
