I’ve been flagged as explicit. And in 50 min it’s December 17 where I live. So I’m preparing to face the shit storm right now. I’m not sure if people will be able to see me on their dash in about an hour, but I’ve made a spare account, saved my themes and I’m working to save as much as I can.

Unpopular opinion: having ADHD or any mental disorder that affects your ability to process or concentrate does not automatically mean you're supposed to be bad in school or have bad grades.

send me unpopular opinions and I'll respond with:

strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree

I mean, for me personally, I was really bad at school due to effects of trauma and my ADHD. And I had really bad grades because of it and have great trouble focusing. I didn’t even finish high school.

But, I do know, since it’s proven fact, that not everyone with mental disorders or ADHD  (since I don’t necessarily think it’s a disorder as much as it is a disability. To me disorder is more like a mental disease/illness and ADHD is not a mental illness. It is a disability) is bad at school or has bad grades. In fact, you can have excellent grades and still have ADHD.

(I know officially ADHD is marked as a disorder, but since I have multiple mental illnesses on top of my ADHD, I don’t find that comparison fair. So on this blog I will call it a disability since that sits better in my brain.)
