Apologies for the lack of updates, but here is one big post with multiple ones!
First off we have some small props, King Asgore will be debuting in the episode, and so his throne has been built! Starlo’s gun was also made. (Once again, we also need a Starlo voice actor…Please look at our profile to see more details)
Now as for the characters, Dina and El Bailador will be apppearing as well! Their plush models have been completed. However there is… Another character who appears who has an interesting story.
Introducing Scruffey, another cameo character. Yes, if anyone recognizes him he is in fact from the Thomas the Tank Engine series. You may be wondering how this happened in the first place because it's not every day you see this kinda stuff happen. Scruffey was originally not intended to appear in the series at all, but due to special circumstances he got in. We’ll save his backstory for becoming a character for the Episode 4 Making Of doc that will release after the episode.
Now another thing you will probably ask now is "Is Thomas the Tank Engine canon to UTYHH?" No. Scruffey has a completely different backstory from his home series. His storyline is more canon compliant to UTYHH's, obviously.
Scruffey is set to appear in the East Mines with Varik and Mysteryman, offering to give them a "roller coaster ride" to find Clover, who if you remember at the end of Episode 3, also began to journey through the mines. However, things don't go exactly as planned on said roller coaster ride… But what happens next will have to be kept secret until the full episode!
Scruffey is a very special model also, he's the first character in the series to actually have the ability to alternate facial expressions (an idea we initially also planned to do with the Shufflers, but due to circumstances and budget never got around to doing) he also technically has a second model as well, but the one shown off here was built for the sole purpose of improving (future) filming and switching his faces.
Also, he's gonna sound like Vinny Vinesauce's Mario impression. Lmao.

This is a tad bit different this time— but, here is a bit of a special treat for y’all during Episode 4’s production!
Going as far back as Episode 3’s development, the UTYHH team and I came across the “Underfell Yellow” designs by artist @pantamonte. We really enjoyed them and as a fun idea, we decided to make some designs for a hypothetical “Underfell Yellow: Halloween Hack” idea. But eventually as time passed, we just sorta dropped the idea.
Until recently, Doc Plague, who is a server parter of ours who is the owner of the Yellow Archives server (check the link for that below for those interested) came up with ideas for a storyline for a more fleshed out UFYHH concept. I really like the ideas Doc has come up with so far, and I even came up with a few of my own, and began making designs for some of the characters. All of these ideas are written in a google doc but due to it containing spoilers, I will not be sharing said document, but I will share a couple of cool unique details here about the story so far that aren’t spoilers to the current UTYHH.
Anyways, we got a logo and I made designs for Varik, Mysteryman, Clover, Raine, Ceroba, and Scruffey so far. Additionally— the next character is UFYHH’s biggest separation from it with base UTYHH: Porky Minch from Earthbound has returned, and not only that, he has overthrown Asgore, and taken over the Underground and commits various crimes against monsterkind to further his plans. His goal? To break the barrier to get back to the surface, and spread Giygas’ influence once more upon reaching it. But maybe, just maybe, these alternate timeline versions of the 3 humans can stop him…
So… That’s Underfell Yellow Halloween Hack! I can elaborate more in the comments with others if anyone wishes. I will note though, don’t worry, this side timeline will not overtake production of UTYHH. The main series is still & always will be our main priority before dabbling into side projects + collabs.
Speaking of UTYHH, how is Episode 4 going? Well, it’s going well. There was a small hiatus where I could not film for about a week due to my filming space being unavailable— but I am pleased to say that I am back to working on the episode and as previously mentioned, filming has passed the halfway point. In terms of a release date… Well I still can’t say. There is still a decent amount of work that needs to get done… But we WILL get there. Eventually. Hopefully soon and no later than early July of this year. As a treat for waiting, here are some more screenshots!
