Update on the whole fendition/scruffless/Mika situation.

It seems all of my attempts at opening communication (and everyone else’s for that matter) have been met with the mighty swing of the banhammer. She’s even gone so far as to make her blog private, where she’ll inevitably continue posting art of my OCs so that she and her current circle of friends can fawn over them as if they’re not ... mine? (All while clearly keeping tabs on the responses she’s receiving and passively replying elsewhere instead of actually answering anyone.)

The behavior is pretty bizarre, honestly. I don’t really understand the mindset behind “hating your abuser” but going so out of your way to continue enjoying their personal creations. Complete disregard is being given toward the fact that these characters were created by and belong to me, and it’s being perceived as a massive insult that I would have the “audacity” to put my name on that which is mine.

“Apparently nothing is sacred to her lmfao. There’s a word for that: Selfish.”

Another one to add to the list of wrongful, confusing accusations. I’m selfish and committing sacrilege by pointing out that my OCs belong to me. I’m selfish because I won’t let you take my OCs while simultaneously treating me like dirt. I’m selfish for ... owning my own things, apparently.

Pretty sure ‘selfish’ isn’t the right word there. If you’d like a lesson in proper word association, here’s a few that come to mind in regards to this situation: childish, cowardly, inane, baffling, exasperating.

But if you’d like to discuss “nothing being sacred,” how about the level of gall it takes to brutally slander someone you once called your best friend after abruptly cutting them out of your life without ever telling them why and then proceeding to surround yourself with their creations as if somehow you have any right to them at all.

I’ll have plenty of fun. Thanks for the invitation.

You can block me all you like. I’m not going anywhere. That’s still my intellectual property and I’m pretty appalled that even with so many people calling you out, you’d chose to cozy up to the block button again instead of actually resolving your problem.

You know why your head feels like it’s in a box? Because you keep shoving it in there to block out anyone who doesn’t agree with your delusional nonsense. You can take the box off, you know. Maybe third time’s the charm and you’ll actually give some thought to fixing this instead of just silencing anyone who contradicts you. Again, the invitation is there.

I’d appreciate if anyone who knows me and knows my OCs could keep a look out for untagged art of them coming from @fendition, @scruffless or @wolfsdown. I’d appreciate it even more if you could reblog it and tag me as the owner. Thanks!

 I see the response was to block the sideblog I was using to appropriately credit and tag myself as the owner of my own OCs. And then tell me to leave you alone. I’m afraid that’s not going to happen and if you’d like to continue posting my characters and ideas, I’d appreciate proper credit being given where credit is due.

Again, a second public invitation to contact me and resolve this like adults.

Takes a deep breath. This is exhausting. How much longer are we going to keep this up? The bullshit has been exposed and people are seeing you for who you really are. What are you even trying to do now? Other than continuing your mad dash away from anything that might actually resolve this situation, both toward me and everyone else calling you out. 

And, stupid as I feel for falling for this ruse the last time you pulled it, I’m actually willing to hear you out and fix some of the damage done. You just need to stop crying wolf and make some effort to take responsibility for what you did.

A Note From My Mother

This doesn’t really require an introduction. My mom witnessed firsthand a lot of the same things I’m dealing with right now regarding @fendition / @scruffless, and she’s put in her two cents on the issue. Sticking it under a read more for length.

I'm appalled by the blatant and ridiculous lies you are putting out there regarding my daughter and our family. How dare you? You lived in my home rent free for six months. 

We encouraged you to utilize your talent to draw and sell your artwork in an attempt to bring in income so that you could contribute financially to the household you were living in. As a matter of fact, we bought you a $300 set of Copic markers for your artwork for Christmas. But you never completed the commissions and missed deadlines repeatedly while already having taken money for the work in advance. You never contributed a dime of that money to paying anything toward my husband and I to help support you in our home. You told us lies about your family and how abusive they were, which supposedly prevented you from leaving. You told us stories about how abusive your ex-girlfriend was and how she "prevented you from drawing because she didn't like it." 

Now the lies are being thrown our way. 

It seems it's always a story of someone always being accused of abusing you and you always dramatically "break free!" to lick your wound in public in an attempt to foster the sympathy of others. Do not blame my daughter or anyone else for that matter for your own failures and shortcomings. It's time for you to grow up and get your head out of the clouds. Take responsibility for yourself. It didn't work out between yourself and my daughter. It happens. A mature adult doesn't hit up social media and try to dredge up sympathy and use a failed relationship as an excuse for their own issues. 

I'm being nice here, but I feel sorry for you and anyone that enters into a relationship or friendship with you. They don't know what they're getting into. You're a habitual liar, a manipulator and a shape shifter who presents themselves in whatever light they think will please and attract someone's attention -- until they see through it, at which time they become your next abuser. 

You don't have a single independent and genuine thought of your own. Common sense and etiquette are virtues you don't possess. Own your own shit, Mika. Leave my daughter out of your drama filled world of bullshit. Thank you for crashing at my house for half a year (that's time and money that I'll never get back), wrecking my daughter's car (after which she was left holding the bag) and then lying about the whole damn thing. 

You're a true gem. Good luck in life. You're going to need it.

I’m basically screaming into the void at this point, but.

I don’t understand how you could claim that I abused you, but then eagerly flood your art blog with pictures of my OCs. Stand alone pictures, shipping pictures, silly little scribbles and nonsense doodlings.

I don’t understand how you could claim that I ruined you and that you needed to cut me out of your life, but you’re still tagging things debating which of our OCs you ship more than others. You’re still using the cute little tags we, or I, created for my OCs.

How can you be so heartless and continue to use my characters for your amusement while openly spitting in my face? There’s no question that it’s sadistic, the only question is just how willfully sadistic it is. 

It hurts a lot. And if you truly and honestly believed your own made up fairy tale that I abused you, you wouldn’t be posting them so enthusiastically. You wouldn’t playfully remark on who’s team you’re on and which ship is your favorite. Deep down, even you know you’re making it all up.
