AUTHOR APPRECIATION - MEET GRETA (Scullygolightly)

How would you describe your fanfiction?

G: Mainly smut. Smut with humor is my jam. Crossovers have become a specialty of mine as well.

When did you start writing fanfiction? Has it always been TXF?

G: I started my fic writing with an XF/The Fall crossover and have tackled incorporating other shows I love with the XF universe like The Silence of the Lambs and even Schitt's Creek. I like to stick with XF but I have written a couple apart from that fandom: an American Gods Media drabble and a Big Little Lies/The Fall ficlet. Basically if Gillian Anderson plays a character in something, I'm interested in writing fic about it.

What inspired you to start writing?

G: I started writing fic in my head 15 years ago. I would create scenarios for Mulder and Scully at night before I fell asleep. It would actually help me to fall asleep. I didn't legit start writing until 3 years ago when one of those scenarios wouldn't leave me alone. I still write in my head at night, but now it keeps me up instead!

What fanfic are you most proud of? Why?

G: I'm most proud of my crossovers. The first one I wrote was an XF/The Fall smut fest and I have since expanded it into 4 parts with part 4, Triangle, becoming a novel length WIP that I've been working on for almost 2 years. Yikes. 

I also dove into the College AU world and I'm really proud of that series because it crosses over with different shows and characters, and the endless possibilities get my creative ideas flowing in such a fun way. 

And I've learned with two of the past fic exchanges how difficult case file fics can be, so I am proud of those as well because it challenged me enormously and I'm rather fond of the final outcome of those two fics.

Who's easier for you to write? Mulder or Scully?

G: Scully. I love Scully-centric episodes and the way Gillian plays her just gives me so much to go on. I can fill pages based off of one subtle expression from her.

What are you currently working on?

G: Triangle is this seemingly never-ending fic that I feel I will be working on for the rest of my life. Seriously though, I'd love to finish it by the end of the year, but I don't think it'll happen. Also, I have 2 installments left in my Pilot Sex series.
