I've noticed something about any Shen Yuan identity reveal fics I write. It is very important to me that it happens, but not, in any way, because I think it's because he is lying to Luo Binghe. I think he's lying to himself.

Shen Yuan is Shen Qingqiu, no ifs or buts about it. That is his name, he took it, and it became his as much as his first name ever was. But I think that it's important for him to acknowledge, whether it be out loud or just to himself, that he hadn't always been this person. He seems sometimes so focused on his existence as Shen Qingqiu that he will forget the part of his life that was Shen Yuan.

So I think he needs to acknowledge his name as Shen Yuan. He can call it a dead name, a true or a hidden one, I don't care. As long as he stops ignoring its existence.
