this all made me feel super grossed out while it was happening too. i’m not part of the fanbase of any of these ppl/that community but i remember watching it unfold like.....ok but what did james actually do that was so bad?? flirt with ppl???? flirting while gay was his crime lmfao. and the fact that two out of the 3 ppl who started this are also gay/bi and much older than him it’s like. what the fuck are u doing. it’s indefensible.

EXACTLY like...tati’s whole claim was that james was “pReYiNg On ThE wAiTer!” when the waiter went public later and said he was bicurious, and that they flirted and made out a few times, but that when he said he had a lot to sort out, james stepped back. so like what was the crime here? being a young, gay man and flirting with a guy? or was the crime doing a paid ad with a different gummy bear brand....but immediately everyone (and i’m embarrassed to say that this included me) immediately took everything she said at face value until he came out to publicly defend himself with actual evidence. and shane and jeffree profited off the whole thing at the very LEAST and seemed to have played some sort of role in orchestrating it. james nearly had his career ruined for flirting with a waiter, while jeffree star is still making millions despite hanging out with an ACTUAL pedophile and repeatedly saying the n word, and shane “blackface” dawson has been allowed to rebrand.

i feel like i should warn just so i’m not responsible for traumatising u that inside and raze are a bit gross lmao but i rly like them. jessabelle and breathe are safer tho and SO good, def some of my faves.

Technically not spoiling anything bc everyone probably gathered this from the premise/trailers/etc., and I’m not giving specifics, but I’ll put a read more just in case

Basically some HORRIFYING things happening to animals. And it’s not a kids’ movie, so they can show all of the gritty details. It gets especially graphic near the end. That’s when I started feeling queasy.

And then a smaller detail is the performances from pretty much everyone other than Seo-Hyeon Ahn (Mija). They were all just...bizarre. Like almost cartoony, but not quite there. (With the exception of Gyllenhaal, who was WAAAAY cartoony like holy shit). But that wasn’t disturbing on its own, it just made the tone that much more unsettling.

I do recommend the movie, and I’m glad I watched it once, but maybe not if you really can’t watch animals being harmed.
