I’m probably going to be posting about nothing but Wizards (and clearing out my fan bookmark folders via reblogging) for a bit, but I’be been watching the Scooby Doo reboot with my family, and I’ve got a few thoughts:
1. The sheer himbo energy of Fred is something you may have heard of, but -just like a whale- there’s a difference in hearing about the size and seeing it for yourself.
2. There’s flat out attempted murder.
3. I’m not usually one for ret-conning, but having all the old crappy Hanna-Barbera cartoons being Scooby’s fever dream is something I can get behind.
4. So many horror references.
5. Related to 4, actually scary monsters, scary scenarios, to the point I wasn’t entirely sure if someone’s head was going to be literally bitten off. I was pretty sure, but for even a little doubt to come in on whether they were gonna straight-up decapitate a guy? In Scooby Doo? Yeah, this thing is a different show.
6. I’m pretty sure Fred would fangirl if he ever met Jigsaw or was in one of his traps. I’d pay to watch that crossover. Specifically this Fred though.
