Though, he did recently go to the effort to add some of his best clothes to his travel bag. Just in case.

...But an hour, though? Yikes.  Proton supposes it’s for the best. The less time he has to dwell upon what’s about to happen, the less time he shall also have to consider bailing on this plan altogether.

It’s do or die time. There’ll be no chickening out now, what with Sakaki’s money and good faith put into the cause. He can’t go walking into this in any sort of mood that gives anything away to his partner, even if his confidence isn’t the highest.

          “I’ll report back with good news. You gonna survive here without me?”

At least he has some of his usual good humor back. That’s a start.
