have i said this before? Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (the manga, not the movie, they are extremely different) is the story that SDC wishes it was, and that’s faxx. they are the EXACT SAME story at heart and this is the hill i’ll die on

also, i was going through the Nausicaa artbook and apparently she’s supposed to be an unapproachable, fierce person??? i got polluted by the movie, because in my heart Nausicaa is very gentle and loving 😭😭😭😭😭 but doesn’t that make Sardian the perfect Nausicaa too?

Kushana’s neckplate and gauntlet and headpiece originally have snake (dragon?) patterns, but ofc Kumashana has to have boyfie’s chameleons

when i saw the movie, i really shipped her and Asbel (my brain operates in ships only, then and now 😩), but i now know that Nausicaa and Kushana is where it’s at. wiveswiveswiveswiveswiveswi

today is the anniversary of the day i finished reading The Chosen for the first time! in honour of that, i thought it would be fun to draw them how they would look like in canon, God-Emperor and He-who-goes-before 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 don’t they look just so magnificent?

Sardian’s colour scheme makes me so happy since it’s just so harmonious, but from a realistic perspective it makes me conflicted…… all that red with his pale complexion…. he’d probably look like a tomato………….

also, i showed my friend the official Apotheosis God-Emperor regalia with the plate and the switching masks concept (section Candidate) and this is what that friend had to say

aren't they so adorable! i want to eat them omnomnomnomnomnom. i love how sad and horrified Hakutuya is with big bro (like the masks) Ashidian’s curse but how Ashidian is still trying to reassure him with his prettypretty smile 💖

as long as we're agreed that Ashidian is the most attractive Ghibli man and Howl doesn't have even 1% of his appeal. ALSO while looking up references for Hakutuya i learned that he's the HEAD OF ACCOUNTING????? that really was the thing that settled which character to draw as which for me, along with the fact that 😩 Tuya can't be said to be hateless EVER, he's like the most emotional character, it's almost embarrassing

i think it's also such a cute age shift, since Tuya is canonically older than Sardian 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 makes me think, i should write an AU where Sardian is like 10 years older, it would be so amazing

fun fact, the school i went to had 4 houses, sapphire, amethyst, amber, and emerald (my house), how cute is that? although no one ever took it seriously; it was just the colour of the uniform you wore on wednesday

i like to imagine Kumatuya and Sardian’s school also has a house system, it’d be so much fun if their schools took the rivalry and house borders seriously and Kumardian were house traitors for being besties and then boyfies 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨

can you tell i’m deep into Obikin hell right now? so of course it meant i had to draw Kumardian as Jedi!

there are many interesting similarities between the two couples… Sardian and Obi-Wan are both defined by their honour and extreme repression, while Kumatuya and Anakin both feel love with extreme intensity and are willing to go to any lengths for it, including extreme violence… i think it’s possible Kumardian might have turned out like Obikin in similar circumstances. aren’t both of their ends equally horrible and broken and doomed as well? (⌒▽⌒)

happy SDC month! obviously we have to have Kumardian to celebrate

for a while now, i’ve been a bit into fashion and AUs with different looks, so SDC month was the perfect chance to do a project where i draw Kumatuya and Sardian in different looks! the plan so far is to do most days of the month, but no promises, i always have a ton of exams 😆 i have themes decided for 20 days, real fashion, art, and fantastical stuff serving as inspiration, hopefully more ideas show up as we go through the month 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

you know, until recently i’d decided i was done with suits because of all the trauma i’ve received from trashy CEO/billionaire romances which feature the same guy in the same suit on the cover, but then i saw Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald in the new Fantastic Beasts, and it cured my depression, so
