This Thursday is my last day at my job (I'm being let go cause there's no money to cover my salary - a result both of the economic crisis but also my boss not being able to plan how to spend money in a smart way) - I'm not terribly mad about it cause my boss is the most obnoxious and incompetent person ever and calling her an idiot is being generous. Every person at my office is more qualified to be in her position, and I'm not exaggerating here. She's been at this job since March and she hasn't learned a thing. She also took this job where she needs to work with social media all the time, and she has no clue about them - she still doesn't know the difference between a post and a story. Additionally, she creates a really toxic work environment to the point where half of the office is considering quitting. She also has this talent to spin everything and say it like you're the crazy one (though you're not and it's clear to everyone but her). This is at a University and for some reason, there's no HR to report her to and no exit interview, so I won't be able to say anything in the end. I mean, I probably could but I don't want to get labeled as difficult for complaining to someone anyway because I know it won't change anything, it never has in the past and I would certainly be called that cause in their mind I would be a disgruntled ex-employee. This could also negatively impact my future, especially if I wanted to be hired by the University someday (I'm considering teaching one day).
But I would die if I didn't inconvenience her at least a little bit...and a while ago I did see this tik tok where a person hid a lot of tiny ducks around the office...so I ordered about 70 tiny plastic ducks. I'm going to put them everywhere, so she will keep finding them for at least a year. And once she realizes it was me and possibly asks me about it I'm going to say there were 70 of them but I'm going to hide 69. She's going to look for the last one for the next year.
I know it's petty but what can i say...
