Welp, my goal of finishing a full animation before the end of the year is complete!
Been working on this on-and-off since August or September. I wanted to figure out Grease Pencil, as well as continue practicing animation. Mostly just small movements, and the walk animation is super cheesed. I thought the lip-sync would be harder, but it wasn't so bad. I really like the leaky pen tool.
I originally was going to colour it in Grease Pencil, but the colours weren't rendering properly (I have no idea why, maybe a lighting thing?) so I exported the lineart and coloured it all in Krita. Thank you to my brother, who knows more about Blender and helped me figure this out.
Overall I think it turned out pretty well, though idk how much I wanna use Grease Pencil going forward. It's a little confusing as a 2d-animation program, and idk if I can figure out how to render the colours properly. I'm going to try some other programs, but if those don't work out I can manage with this.
Also wanna mention that Worthikids' Grease Pencil Tutorial was extremely helpful, as well as GreaseMonkey and Grant Abbitt's videos for some specific things I couldn't figure out. (and again, my brother who knows more about Blender than I do and told me to try Grease Pencil years ago, lol)
