It’s taken me a while to finally write something about the end of this show. Life was hectic, but mostly because I wasn’t able to say goodbye. How do you say bye to a show that has imprinted a special place in your heart? I came into this show barely knowing anyone, the show, or what would come from it. Throughout the rehearsals and run, I came to fall deeply in love with the compassion and spirit of every single person in this cast. I have never felt so supported. I had my fears about “being funny.” What did that even mean?! Being a comedic actor. The script was pretty much made to be funny. But I didn’t feel equipped to make those choices. These guys taught me that giving a heart to a character and being real is what makes it funny. Doing things collectively, working off of each other, and trusting each other was the goal. I could never have been able to accomplish what I was able to do with Oliver Rivers without every single one of these talented players helping me. Backstage was the most polite and Puff thing you could ever experience. You all are absolute professionals in my heart. We put this damn show together and brought down the house. We left a mark on the audience like I’ve never seen before. This family is something I would never have thought I deserved.
