Watching Realm Reborn off and on and just- laughing to myself.
So far all of the named Primals I’ve seen/heard of are Astrals in FFXV so like-
That means Noctis is gonna get SO MANY weird looks and possibly even suspicious alarmed stares from random people/the Scions. Because Noctis still swears by the Astrals and is instinctively comfy using their names/titles as curses or blessings so like-
He’s probably gonna seem like he worships the Primals? But he’s DOESN’T, he’s just from an entirely different time period and the Astrals are different from the Primals, they just share names. *cackles*. I’m having a little too much fun imagining that and the LOOKS he gets from some of his reactions to the Primals names/existences.
When he sees Ifrit the first time - “That. Is not Ifrit. You are nowhere near tall or scary enough to be Ifrit. You’re uglier too. Where is your sword. Stop breathing on me it’s clearly not working you warped knock-off.”
When he hears about Ramuh, - “Ramuh isn’t that scary. He stays in his own lane most of the time at least.”
Noctis, hearing anything about Shiva: silent side-eyes the nearest corner of the room as if expecting someone to be there to glare at (he’s waiting for Gentiana to show up and laugh at his plight, Shiva why. Why you do this to him).
Noctis, seeing Titan: “Dude. It’s called a diet. Look it up. The real Titan looked better than you and he took a meteor to the face.”
Noctis, meeting Leviathan (which I assume is gonna happen, at least as an optional boss fight or something): “Okay this, this is a good imitation. Eternally PMSing fish with anger issues. Great impression. Why’s everyone calling her a dude though Leviathan is the Tide-Mother.”
Noctis, muttering under his breath after learning about Bahamut the “Great Calamity”: “The pyre, dude? Two thousand years of hard work saving the world and now some scaly rip-off is trying to eat it? Not on my watch. Seriously though, Bahamut, where are you, come down here and get rid of your knock-off before he ruins whatever’s left of the planet you’re supposed to be guarding.”
Anytime one of his friends/the other Scions have to go do something without him he instinctively says, at best, “Blessings of the Six upon you.” But in specific instances depending on their destination he’ll be like, “Tide-Mother grant mercy,” or “Fulgarian’s wisdom be yours,” etc etc because while Noctis was never really one to say that stuff he’s got 2k memories of much more old fashioned kings and queens in his head who DID and this entire place gives him intense medieval vibes that kinda makes those older court habits slip out.
I wanna write the look on someone’s face if Noctis ever slips up and uses Bahamut’s name as a blessing.
