why an infp would love an entp?

entp doesn’t truly love anybody under normal circumstances, not “really”. (this is why i associated extps and extjs as dismissive avoidants in another post) so if infp can make entp love her, she would get a super rare love that’s impossible to find in nature! and woot! infps are all about rare and unique and obscure.

so for an infp, entp can be a very interesting project. can you teach this person totally alien to fi ability to love and trust and vulnerability and stuff? it’s like picking a mistreated dog from shelter and keep giving it love even though its first intinct is to bite. but the very fact earning hard to earn love makes it more valuable, more special to infp!

if you are interested with your supervisee pay attention as this is the most important part: “When there are more than two people present, the Supervisee (entp) often attempts to release themselves from the control of the Supervisor (infp) by starting arguments for the sake of it or by attempting to manoeuvre themselves into the commanding position.”

i definitely have been as asshole to my current infp gf in this way quite a few times. this is because okay, i guess i can trust you and be nice and “love”… geez! but that’s when we are one on one. others can not know i have feelings!

advice to entp who is dealing with infp therefore: make sure and don't hurt the se vulnerable of them. don't be impactfully bossy or sudden or stuff like that. control the fe child, don't sacrifice the infp for a joke or something.

both intjs and entps are after the meaning but entp wants the meaning right now, right here. and this is basically the main difference between ne and ni.

ni is ok with doing meaningless, mundane and boring shit in the moment "if" that's what it takes to reach the big ni prize in the future. (for example studying hard for exams, memorizing boring ass dates and names and latin terms)

then it makes sense for ni doms to be si role, doesn't it? they got that patience for doing mundane shit. they will wake up early, they won't stay all night up, they will eat at the right time, they will follow a pretty good schedule as a result.

an isfj or istj can actually enjoy working in their little garden and growing tomatoes or maintaining their aquarium every day. these things would be "purely" si things to do.

ni doms won't do those things at all. they can't care less about repeating some sensory things so they can feel "relaxed" or whatever. they will relax if they are working for actually se useful things. what a HUGE waste of time! just go buy some tomatoes from the closest place and use that time more wisely, sheesh.

THEN, you can also understand how entps are se role. they will do se things while exploring possibilities but they won't just spend shit ton of se energy for purely se reasons. for example they won't be into sports because there are no possibilities to explore there. all soccer moves are already invented. all fighting styles are already explored. 2k years of human history. you can only be a disciple of certain techniques and master them by repetition which is not something ne motivating.

but entp is inventing something like adam savage? then, suddenly, se role of entp manifests. build something experimental spending a lot of se effort and test it and see if it works like you thougt it would or not OH YEAH! that's the juicy stuff for ne.
