“I value you in my life, but you can be so much to deal with.” (shes teasing her in a good way)
“Oh, that-- that sounds like, what did the Mymble’s eldest say the other day-- that sounds like a you problem.”
Ninny cackled, sounding less like a witch and more like a very chattery bird. The two girls were dangling their legs into the wide creek that ran through Moominvalley, enjoying the cool water in spite of the scorching-hot day. Ninny could never get enough of how weird Too-Ticky’s feet looked, huge and clawed like an animal’s; no wonder she could climb anything and run anywhere.
“A you problem,” Ninny continued, poking Too-Ticky right in her soft belly. “You were the one who started me off like on my journey of becoming worse than My, you know.” It was sort of true, considering that Ticky had been Ninny’s deliverer from her prior home, the first step from the shadows into the light of Moominvalley.
The selkie was wrinkling her nose at her, her mouth open to make some joking retort, and Ninny jabbed her finger in said mouth before poor Ticky could even react. “A you problem.”
