i remember noticing when i watched the anime that the subbers completely changed the sexist dialog and i was like ‘yeah’. i do like the girl characters tho, they have their own lives, and i like kaya a lot
oh yeah the girls are all incredible!! I love kaya and miho and aoki they're all solid characters they're just super shitty about "women won't ever understand a man's dreams!! man powerful, women weak, unable to have Dream" in the manga. I haven't tried out the anime, is it worth the watch?

used a lot to refer to illegal truancy like in school handbooks and stuff so i think it might be more common than u think?
maybe... but i've never heard it in real life and i even read stuff like handbooks and rules pretty meticulously... and in the second case it was a highschooler saying it to another student... would teens actually say "truancy" rather than "playing hooky" or "skipping" in casual speech ? ??
man whenever i learn something like this i always have to wonder how the heck i never ran into it before

seafiish replied to your post: “can I ask why you hate pokemon?”:
if it helps, pokemon takes place in a kind of strange AU utopia where death and pain are rare & almost no one takes advantage of other beings. like, most pokemon are partners rather than servants, & "battles" feel more like regulated sports matches
hhhh yea h ive been told that but it really doesnt make it seem any better to me and idk i could go into why but i really dont want this to turn into some Huge Thing yknow
