I love this song, and the way it somehow perfectly exemplifies the feeling of what it was like to be queer in middle school in 2006

like, am I more than you bargained for? I know I’m more than I bargained for, more than anybody can handle right now, so I’ll tell you anything you want to hear, hide behind the person that you wish I was. 

and oh, don’t mind me, I’m watching from the closet - watching other people live their lives while I’m stuck wondering when or if I’ll be able to do the same, just desperately wishing for even a taste of it...

and isn’t it messed up? how I’m just dying to be him?? how much I want to sleep in, and sleep for the “wrong” team, and be somebody’s “number one” - because even if I go down in an earlier round, I’ll go down swinging?
