Here are my SeaHorrors brothers!
Since I think they deserve their own post!
Now some headcanons!
Bones:
His nickname is Boney or Bones, but really he prefers to go by Papyrus. Or Capitain!
He is the capita in of his ship! Of course, Patch is his second in command.
He like to take turns on who mans the ship, Patch is captain at night and he is captain during the day.
Bones LOVES shiny things. They don’t have a real need for money since they often are not welcome on human lands, but he has a treasure stash of all the things he got from abandon ships, ship wrecks and abandon lands when they stop by land or islands.
Bones wants to make one island home for him and his brother, but it’s hard to find one that doesn’t have humans on it already.
He likes humans, but they are scared of Monsters. It makes him a little sad.
Bones has terrible social anxiety. It comes from him and his brothers trust issues, along with the fact that he never really had a true friend underground.
He is very self conscious but tries to use a little gusto to cover it up.
He doesn’t like fighting.
He is good at construction and crafting things out of very little.
He can cook anything you give him, and make it take okay. If it’s normal food he can make it taste great.
Bones’ gloves, hat, and boots are handmade gifts from his brother, Patch!
The feather in his hat is from a beautiful bird he saw on an island, he has no idea what the bird was but he loved the soft white feather he found once it left.
He is a very proper and educated skeleton!
He loves dressing up, his favorite piece of clothing is a silken wrap skirt handmade from one of the islands they stopped at. It’s beautiful colors and gold threads caught his eye and he had to have it! He only wears it on special occasions.
He loves jewelry, back to the shiny things. He loves jewels that reflect the light and shine, he loves metals that gleam in the light like stars.
He might be a bit of a kleptomaniac.
He loves to get things as momentos for every island and human land they visit.
Wrapped his scarf around his waist because it’s to hot to wear a scarf on the open sea! But when it gets cold he will wrap it around like a normal scarf.
Bones got their swords from a wrecked imperial ship, he got a lot of weapons from royal ships. Since they have the best quality, he likes to take all the good weapons and store them in case their favorite swords break or are lost in combat!
He is covered in small cracks and scars, but not as bad as Patch is.
Patch:
His name is Sans, he honestly thinks the nickname thing is ridiculous. Every whimsun is just a whimsun, like every Sans is a Sans.
Patch got his name from his eyepatch. He likes to think it’s short for Patchwork- because he is really good at fixing clothes.
He is good at leatherworking. He doesn’t like to waste any of their hunts, so he makes jerky from leftover meats and makes leather out of their kills.
He uses fish leather to waterproof their shoes and gloves, especially their sacks for adventures.
His motor skills are lacking sometimes when he is having a bad memory day, but you will never catch him lacking with a sword.
Patch is the most skilled swordsman you will ever see. He will fight dirty if he has no respect for his opponent though.
He doesn’t give a single shit about proper-ness or etiquette. They were banished from society and shunned by the Monsters they ruined themselves to help save- why would he care about what people think anymore?
He trust no one, but If Papyrus likes you, he will have some respect for you and treat you as such. His brother just doesn’t trust anyone now days… so if he chooses you to be one of they few he trusts? Patch will trust his judgment.
He is good at gathering things for papyrus to build or craft with, but he prefers hunting. He feels like he doesn’t do a lot to help out on the ship.
He refuses to clean the ship spotless, what is the point? It’s a boat? (Bones hates it, so he cleans it constantly.)
Patch loves the sun on is bones, so he won’t complain about life. But he will feel strong agitation when talking about other Monstrrs and what the humans did to him and his brother when they surfaced.
Patch is actually really sweet and considerate, he just has to trust you first. And that is really hard for him.
He hides his favorite hoodie in a box under his bed for when it gets cold, but his brother got him a wrap/shawl to wear instead. It’s a soft cotton and he can wear it as a waist wrap, a shawl, or a long head wrap if he wanted to. It’s special to him because it’s the first gift he got from his brother on the surface since their banishment.
Their bones shine in a pearlescent way now that they can be in the sun. Papyrus calls it ‘Tanning’ and Patch really can’t argue that sun bleaching is kind of the skeleton equivalent of tanning,
He loves music! And has small instruments from islands they have visited and abandon or wrecked ships.
