hello! unfortunately, I do not know much about this seal, except that they may be a Baikal seal or even a Ladoga ringed seal (though I'm less confident about that)

thank you genuinely for this blog. i have a friend who’s obsessed with seals and sometimes he’ll show me some seal video on his phone and be like “which one is this” and i have to stammer my way through half-remembered names while he waits for me to get it. one day i’ll learn them all

do you have anything on Mon-Chan, from Tokkari Center? She was a ringed seal that i can only assume passed away or was released long ago, but i have like nothing on her.

I have searched myself for this seal in the past but have not been able to come up with a source. Even trying to trace back the image I don’t come back with much in the past if I recall correctly. Do you think you’re brave enough to find their name?

why hello there! from what I can tell, I don't believe I will be able to identify this seal as it doesn't appear to have a name (or a known name, anyways). I found this post which claims to know the organization responsible for rescuing the seal, but there doesn't appear to be a source for it. if it is true, it's quite likely that this seal doesn't actually have a name! if I am wrong, someone please let us know what this seal's name is!
