Dear Fox,

Below are just a few reasons to #RenewTheExorcist. There are over 35,000 followers on the official Twitter page, over 214,000 people on Facebook and many more on Tumblr. This show has a huge fan base all over the world and is gaining new fans even now as the community does everything possible to promote it.  We can say many things about why you should renew it, most of all because we LOVE the show, the story and the characters. There are people who are better with words though, so let’s hear from them.

Why 'The Exorcist' should be your winter binge-watch show

Seriously, add this to your watch list.

John Cho and Ben Daniels are the main highlights in an already excellent cast. John Cho’s appeal is obvious, as the quintessential Cute Dad with a sad backstory. Ben Daniels, well… how to explain him? Everyone else gives the expected performance for a high-quality network TV drama. Meanwhile, Ben Daniels delivers every speech like he’s yelling into the wind machine during a stage production of The Tempest. But! Just to be clear, he’s not over-acting. Marcus Keane just has that many emotions. So many emotions.

Marcus can’t hold a conversation without grabbing Tomas by the shoulders and hissing into his face. When asked about his Tragic Past, Marcus barely pauses before unleashing a detailed account of his childhood trauma. (That particular scene takes place during a first date, where he also gives an impassioned speech about Catholicism.) He has the intense body language of someone who might headbutt you at any moment, while somehow being refreshingly free of machismo. He is never, for even one second, remotely chill.

Do you think that there is any chance for The Exorcist to be renewed? Also when are we gonna know that we get season 3?

We won’t know about the renewal until May when FOX do the Upfronts for the fall season. This may be an unpopular opinion, but the chances of getting a renewal for The Exorcist are slim at the moment. The feelings in my gut tell me that a transfer for the show to another network is what they want to do. If the company wants to keep the show, FX is the best for them. I also think Hulu is another option too. Plus, with Sean Crouch’s new job with Lore on Amazon... Production on season 3 won’t start until the fall, with possibly a 2019 premiere. All of this is just my thoughts. No one (including the cast and crew) don’t know the news either.
