I gotta do the boring stats and numbers database for zone 1 of search tomorrow instead of doing fun drawing or maps, so i’m doing concept art today as a consolation prize.

Hey! My name’s Saltie, I was the main creator of the old fangame SEARCH! It was the first project I had ever made, and it was very rushed and not well planned. Well, after all these years, I’m highly considering coming back and remaking the whole game!

What does this mean exactly? An entirely new story of the game!

Small details below! LMK if you’d like to see this come to fruition!

Zone 1,2,and 3 are all purified already, as the game will now take place after the Judge special ending. Sucre, being unfought by the batter, but being aware of his influence, convinces the Judge to come with her to see if there are any signs of life left. 

In their journey, they come across two separate zones that were safe from harm, as in his mission, The Batter only needed to find a way to reach The Queen and by extension, the switch to complete his mission. 

In this failure, these almost forgotten about zones were never killed off, but have grown wary and nervous of visitors due to the threat that took the major zones down.

Sucre and Judge must now figure out how to help these zones, as the major forms of production of various resources are now extinct. Perhaps things are not as bleak as they same.

Ignore the colors, i just wanted official colors for them. Most likely would keep the monochrome theming of sprites.

Anyways, 3 old faces in a new light, and 3 brand new faces consisting of the merchant, and Zone + -’s twin guardians.

Concepting ideas is fun.
