It's Time
It’s been nine months of waiting and hoping. Mae has been getting restless and feeling sharp pains for the past few days, it almost time. Jet has been staying with her to watch over her. Cecil and Carlos have made the guest bedroom comfortable for the soon-to-be fathers. Mae has been the center of attention and is more than ready for the new arrival. She was laying down on the couch, waving a large, basket-woven fan to herself. The final stages have been giving her terrible hot flashes. “This is what a desert feels like,” she mumbled, “it’s just a lot more dusty.”
