These Salted Caramel Kiss Cookies are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Soft and chewy pecan cookies topped with a Hershey's Kiss and finished with a sprinkling of flaky sea salt.
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup chopped pecans. 36 Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped. Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Put the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl and cream them together until they are light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time while beating, and then mix in the vanilla. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add this dry mix to the wet ones, mixing just until everything is combined. Add the chopped pecans and mix them in. Take dough balls about the size of a tablespoon and roll them into balls. Cover the baking sheet with foil and put them on it. After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden. As soon as you take the cookies out of the oven, press a Hershey's Kiss into the middle of each one. While the cookies are still warm, put a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each one. Cool the cookies for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down.
