In the #laketahoe region, it has been the snowiest January since 1952 in Tahoe City (our home), California, with 135.5 inches. Last winter, the seasonal total from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 was 140", only 4 and a half inches more than what has fallen this January. All the snow has buried homes and created hallways so big neighborhoods have turned into snow mazes. People are referring to it as #januburied . At @squawalpine , #california , more than 8 feet of snow fell Jan. 19-24 at 8,000 feet, bringing the seasonal snowfall total to 378". The January snowfall total, is more than four of the last six seasonal snowfall totals 😳. Perhaps the greatest month of #skiing / #riding I've experienced, the month ended with high pressure and time well spent in the high #sierra . Big descents with top to bottom powder. Here's a short video from a great day #skimountaineering with @myshellparker and @_smithmade_ on #esha peak . A new storm system will hit Tahoe tomorrow. Let the good times roll. #powdertothepeople #seasontoremember #noplacelikehome #sierranevada #sierraslayers (at McGee Creek, California)
