anyone from Seattle area?!
Hey guys I'm taking my mom on a 9 day trip to Seattle on March 24th. We are going to the SPN convention in Bellevue but will have most of our time to explore Seattle. I was wondering if anyone could give me the inside scoop.. I've planned some regular touristy type stuff but I would like to know more about just regular (preferable free) things to do around town or places to eat that are unique but not expensive and have more a local feel rather than the usual pikes place/space needle thing you know? OH! and I was planning on going to Vancouver for a day trip and Mt. Rainier another day but i've seen and heard that it isn't a good time to go..input on that would be appreciated
Also I am from Mississippi so I have no Idea how to dress in late March/early April in Seattle.. It gets cold here but its a humid 80 degrees in the afternoon and 3 hours later it is sleeting (fact it's happening right now and it was 80 yesterday lol) so yeah.. I just want to be prepared so that I can give my mom a fantastic vacation without her getting too stressed out about what to bring and how to stay warm.
I'd basically love someone who I could just spew all my questions out to and they would answer and be an awesome online tour guide essentially. i guess lol anyway thanks in advance. I hope someone reads this :D
