Sam/Harmony/Mason - another life

In another life, things would be so much easier. Mason would be his own person - not trapped inside of Sebastian and only in control part of the time. Harmony wouldn't have nightmares and she'd actually be able to speak English without stuttering and maybe she'd actually sleep without being medicated. Sam wouldn't taste words or get hurt when he ate real food. 

But in another life, they likely wouldn't have found each other. So maybe, just maybe, being stuck in an asylum together was the best thing for them because they got each other out of it.

Sam thinks about it sometimes, about what it would be like if they had met in different circumstances. He's sure that Mason and Harmony would have found each other somehow - likely drawn together by their mutual ability to speak French. Sam thinks they're the best out of the three of them, that they work together the best and they're best for each other. Truth be told he really doesn't think he fits in with them, doesn't know how he got lucky enough to have them love him. 

It's a little frightening, the way he never figures himself into the thoughts of "another life" where things were different and they weren't mental cases. They're just so good together and he feels out of place so often because they loved each other first and he feels like he's intruding.

Sam/Harmony/Mason - cuddling

(this is going to be headcanon rambling rather than fic... mostly since we're gonna RP them cuddling at some point. oh yeah - this is about RP characters!)

Mason's never had cuddle time before Sam sort of latched on to him, and Harmony hasn't really gotten a chance to cuddle recently if she did in the past. On the other hand, Sam is used to cuddling. He's got two younger siblings and they're both pretty affectionate and it wasn't surprising to end up in a cuddle puddle on the living room floor while watching a movie.

Sam starts it. He grabs Mason and holds him close when it's just the two of them, to get Mason used to it, to show Mason that he cares and that Mason really is his own person to Sam (and Harmony too) because Sam would never do this with Sebastian. And then Harmony comes into the room slowly, and Sam pulls her into the standing hug-almost cuddle that he's got Mason in. Harmony joins happily because she loves Mason and is growing to love Sam almost as much and she snuggles close. 

It doesn't take long for them to tire of standing and no one is sure who decided to move to the bed, but they do and it's better and Mason's in the middle, Sam on his left and Harmony on his right and the cuddling just keeps going and there are whispered confessions of how much they care for each other and how they never want it to end and somehow it shifts to an almost spooning thing but not with Harmony curled against Mason, an arm around his waist and Sam a mirror of her as he curls against Mason with an arm around him, and then Harmony and Sam link hands against Mason's chest and snuggle that last little bit closer and the three of them fall asleep like that, Mason thinking how he probably doesn't deserve the two of them and Sam's falling asleep with a last whisper of each of the other two's names, and Harmony murmurs something in French because it's easier than English.

And so what if they wake up with Ben between them instead of Mason? That doesn't stop the cuddling.
