does charles’ habit of note taking come from seb ? like did he see seb taking notes and thought hmm maybe i should do too… does he talk about it anywhere?

Yeah, pretty much! I think we previously kind of inferred that from ~context clues, but he basically confirmed himself it in 2023 in... some written media interview I guess?
Just as a brief timeline overview: Obviously Charles joins Ferrari in 2019, spends a lot of time directly around Seb, learns a lot about him, how he works, the kind of feedback he gives to the team and so on.
I believe the earliest we get an actual photo of Charles with a physical notebook in hand is winter testing 2020 (specifically an article published February 20th where he's asked about the photo after it made the rounds on social media). He says he'd already had a habit of taking digital notes but there's an implication that he recently switched to pen and paper.
You can see him walking around the paddock with it at various points throughout 2020. Also in 2020, Seb's interviewed about his life, habits, future plans post-Ferrari (this is from an article published August 2nd). Sound familiar?
The whole notebook thing gained more traction around 2022-23, I remember a bunch of camera shots focusing on Charles and his notebook, there were note-taking shots in the Ferrari vlogs, etc.
Then in a quote from May 2023 Charles basically confirms that yes, he picked up the habit of physically writing down notes from Seb 🙂↕️🥺 I love how it's an actual physical manifestation of something he'd picked up from Seb, as he always says he learned "a lot" from him but this is one of the things we can clearly see and it's just... idk really special to see that part of Seb's legacy or habit living on through Charles. Something something some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon, they stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. <3
