Itchy scalp?

Itchy scalp is the worst, especially when you have dandruff because it's not like you can cover your head and shoulders up. Seborrhoeic dermatitis is even more irritating, red, itchy and scaly scalp is not attractive at all. 

If you suffer from scalp eczema, or dryness every now and then, the product I really like to use is Sebitar. It contains Tar (pine) 1% w/w, coal tar solution 1% w/w, salicylic acid 2% and preservative Benzyl alcohol 1%. Now it doesn't smell the greatest, but it sure does the job. 

I brush my hair out before my shower, and then lather the Sebitar on (try not to ruffle your hair up too much as it gets quite tangled in the product), I then leave it on for 5 minutes and give it a good rinse and follow with a conditioner, try to use one that doesn't aggregate your scalp (I normally use Palmers Coconut Oil Conditioner).

Natural option is Apple Cider Vinegar (mixed with 2 parts water) or just White Vinegar will do the trick. This is great to get rid of product build up (although you shouldn't be using any when your scalp has a condition!) Vinegar removes scaly build-up and residue from hair shafts and closes the cuticles. It also has a tonic action that promotes blood circulation in the small capillaries that irrigate the skin. Also if you have fungal infection in the scalp, you can add few drops of Tea Tree Oil which eradicates yeast and fungal microorganisms by clearing out and unblocking the hair follicles which helps eliminate dandruff.
