lowkey a bit of a serious rant below but like. as great as tumblr is for finding niche communities, man is it disheartening to be on this app sometimes,,, like i just wanna look at a tag for a tv show i like and not get slammed in the face with 300 people’s worst takes and opinions on it sometimes

#and yeah this is about starfleet academy #idk i guess this is a big ask but like maybe we could all talk less about the shit we hate and more about the shit we like #and in the case of star trek >#one of the core messages of the franchise is to respect other people’s opinions and find common ground peacefully #respecting each other for our differences and our differences in opinion #and seeing a lot of trekkies on here who claim that newtrek is slop and that sfa or disco or snw is like ruining the legacy or whatever #/in turn making people feel bad for liking it #that doesn’t really uphold the core values of what messages star trek has carried throughout the franchise’s history #and also!#it makes me think like #if we can’t find common ground and have mutual respect for each other’s opinions on a TV SHOW #how are we going to achieve the precedent of the future that star trek strives for?#moral of the story tldr is: just be nicer on this goddamn app it’s not that hard #sebs.textx #rambling sorry but i’m kinda heated
