so y'all may be aware of the US Senate and US House of Rep. are pushing to repeal Sec 230 [S. 3546 and H.R. 6746 bills] after their holidays (reconvening in Feb, from the sounds of it), so it gives us time to Call/ email/send letters/etc. Fill their voice-mails/inbox/what have you.
For the folks who don't deal with the hellsite (Twitter), a poster, @/friesein, on there dropped an awesome thread of reminders of our previous fights and suggestions of what to say to your Congress members (both senator and house rep):
As Freisein mentioned, you can absolutely leave a voice-mail (or +20 😁), just make sure to leave Name, Address with Zipcode, along with opposition of repealing Sec230 and the multiple id verification bills
They also gave a helpful call script and email template of what to say to our congress members:
a slight edit/addition: the list of names below are the (usual) suspects that keep trying to pull this shit, so if they represent you, please give them multiple calls and emails! Annoy them (politely and firmly), don't let them come back from their holidays refreshed!

Lack of Big Media and News outlets reporting - that is without obvious bias of for it - about the clear Bipartisan efforts to pass bills (state level and National level) to remove anonymity on Internet is incredibly telling (though not surprising 🙄)
Their neligence to explain to Everyday folks of what exactly these ID verification Bills entails and Bill(s) to repeal/reform Sec 230 are essentially creating a gateway to surveillance that would ultimately censor and control people of all ages; keep them meek by centralizing all digital footprints/identies/social media/banking.
So its not surprising that US Gov (and other countries Gov (looking at you AUS and UK) are a Big Fan of this and we are seeing suppression, or attempts of it, everywhere. And no one would be exempt from this (except Government, their families/ppl, Big Corp. (especially Tech)🙄).
And of course there are no guarantees to protect our data - any laws attempted to (weakly) pass in Senate or House always seems to fail. Shocking! 🤨
In the age of our DATA being the hottest commodity for Third-party verifiers of Social Media and Gaming Apps (and other platforms such as Banks...), it will inevitably get hacked (or straight up sold, lol) 😲🫣🤡 And there are currently no (strong) guardrails or actual punishments for these Big Tech (since they are able to pay it off easily) should our data gets hacked/sold (again).
(((makes me wonder how much Congress members are getting paid by Persona (a 3rd party verifier for Roblox and also funded by Peter Theil... Concerning.) or Yoti (for META) or any other Verifier companies 🤔)))
So this is your reminder to give your US House Rep and US Senator a call, email, or fax. Keep calling calling, bug them because they are suppose to represent us, not the companies, not the few individuals that have suspicious backgrounds in cult like organizations (NOCOSE, CollectiveShout, etc), not whatever money that pays them well.
With that said, you are allowed to call and leave a message as long you leave:
1) NAME,
2) ADDRESS w/ ZIP CODE so they can verify you are their constituent.
3) A brief message of your OPPOSITION of all the bills requiring ID or any other sensitive identity data and to NOT repeal SEC 230.
BE POLITE, YET FIRM.
♡ Here are 2 awesome call scripts to use (and alter to your taste) shared by Spectrotica (on blsky) and Friesein (Twitter):

☆ Lets continue to keep the pressure on 💪💪
make it a goal this coming week to make calls, at least once, to our Senator and Reps.

an excellent article rightfully calling out politicians (mainly democrats 🙄) and their bs reasoning(s) for supporting these bills, including KOSA and repealing of Sec230.
Lawmakers spent the day chasing safety by expanding surveillance, proving that in Washington, nothing unites faster than fear of the interne
Its great that the Artcle also mentioned one of the groups backing these bills, ParentsSOS:
Unfortunately they are not the only group/advocates for these bills and do not lack in financial support and have always been behind on pushing KOSA (or some variation of it) for years (esp NCOSE, originally known as Morality in Media):
I mention these advocate groups, not to shame or harass, but to understand how using mortality to weaponized these bills, making it into the newspapers/news/podcasts for the avg ppl to read/watch and soften them to agreeing with these bills or to not look too deeply of the why (censorship), the how (Digital ID), the effects (lose anonymity, creativity, the right to free speech, centralized system (Big Data)).
We gotta call/email/fax/mail our House Rep with opposition to these bills.
Support organizations that are fighting against these bills - which you can find in (scroll down towards the end):
All of the bad internet bills. One website.
I know ppl are complaining and angry, saying it's parents duty to prevent kids from using social media, etc. However, politicians always side with money and if it makes them look good to use the moral panic (a parent's grief? Religious reasons?)?
Even better!
There are ways for parents and kids to be educated and safely navigate internet, but it's not in Big Techs or politicians interest to do so. These bills just happen to have what gov and corporations want this time:
Data.
After all, data collection = control, even better when anonymity is gone along with free speech to protest this.
So.
Get loud. Flood these politicians email boxes, voice-mails, fax machines.
For ppl who prefers YT to learn and keep up about what the heck is going with state and federal level of "Age Verification" tsunami of bills and law in the US I recommend these channels (some channels also talk of other countries attempt to push some form of Age verification)
Videos on topical topics :)

For ppl who rather listen to a conservative voice, this lady has been researching "age verifications" bills, state and federal level, to share with viewers that makes it easier to understand the Legal speak.
Conservatives like this group ("Conservatives Ladies") tend to be the loudest and hands-on by calling their representatives and congress members.
(NOTE: While I don't agree with a lot of this person's conservatives values (or conservative's views and values in general), I do agree with the stance of being piss off about government's overreach into our privacy (= digital ID/centralizing our Identity) and their lack of action to protect us from corporate interest (= lack of any strict, enforceable laws against data harvesting, algorithm manipulation, and monopolizing the web, esp social media)).
