Rapid Style because I’m being lazy.

A Mel and Jack thing I’ve been tinkering with and inspired by some @anachronismly’s thoughts we’ve been throwing around.

CW: medical trauma to unnamed patient.

Coming in as an off-duty doctor strikes her how fast things move. She sees some of her peers moving around patients, ordering tests, talking with nurses. She watches as Jesse and Perlah race a gurney to the waiting room, Mateo holding the door open with a stricken look on his face.

And in the back trauma room she can see Dr Abbot and Dr Ellis, leaning over a patient who - she averts her eyes, not out of disgust, but respect. No one wants to go to the ER for a penile concern, much less one that bloody at 6:45 in the morning.
