How to care for your Second Chair player:

Make sure to tell them they suck often.

Make them practice the solos, but never actually give them one.

Correct them even if they are right.

Spit on them

Give them super hard reeds and laugh when they have sucky tone

Make them count the rhythm over and over.

Make them provide juice for the section

I am one bad ass mother fucker.

So, we got chair results for next year's band. My original instrument is flute, but I switched to french horn around May of last year because they needed horns. For next year, I decided to switch back to flute. I had still played some throughout the year, but not nearly often as any of the flute players had. So, I did my audition, expecting a lower chair.
