Dear future me
Dear future me,
I hope you’re still happy. I hope you’ve found something to do with your time. I know you’ve found love by now and I’m sure it’s worth waiting for. Tell everyone that I say hi and I can’t wait to grow old with anyone that’s still around.
I know that people grow and change, but I hope you haven’t lost yourself too much. Still enjoy the little things. Continue to trust people more than you should and have that optimism that seems to dwindle with others in their age.
Take the time to know your children like your mother did. Be their rock, their guide, their guardian, and their best friend if they’ll let you, but respect their boundaries. If you can’t figure out how to do any of these things, ask your mom.
