1000 Followers, say what?!

So after being on tumblr for about a year and a half I have reached the milestone of getting 1000 lovely followers and I wanted to say a special thank you to some of my tumblr besties.

secretveil -  I've known you for what feels like forever and I'm so glad fanforum brought us together. You're the Meredith to my Cristina, my fellow Clois aholic, and sometimes I swear we're actually the same person. We love so many of the same things and I adore gushing about our shared interests with you and spamming your inbox with my fangirl musings. I love you so much!

vanhomme -  OMG, I hit 1000 followers so now I guess it's okay for me to come and see you in August since I'm officially tumblr famous ;). You're not only one of my internet besties but you're also one of my best friends IRL. You've introduced me to so many great movies and shows but what's more you've been there for me through so much RL crap and I only hope I can do the same for you. I'm so excited to see you in August and now the countdown has officially begun!

tvandme -  You were one of my first followers when I joined tumblr and I still think it's beyond sweet that you were encouraging your followers to check out my blog. You're a great co-mod on FF and I hope I get the chance to see you too when I go to Germany in August.

joshuaschest -  My darling gal pal, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...your love for Galavant makes me love it more, your fanfics are the shiznit, and you made me a gorgeous gif set for my b-day with all my faves (future husbands). But what's even more important is that you're genuinely considerate, sweet, witty and wonderful. You're the Ann to my Leslie, you beautiful tropical starfish.

hookedoncaptswan -  Reign brought us together and I think I can honestly say that's the best thing that came out of that show for me. I felt so humbled and cared for when you warned me about what was going to happen on that trainwreck of a show. Thank you again for that. We also made it through S2 of Sleepy Hollow together and yay our show finally turned things around! I'm very excited to watch S3 with you and find out what else we have in common!

richardjohnsplett -  You're my Elementary friend and my Brooklyn Nine Nine pal. I love talking to you about Sherlock and Joan and their amazing partnership and how he named a bee after her and how she's the person he loves most in the world and how she wanted to move back in him and MY FEEEELLLSS. Here's to more Elementary conversations in S4 and squeeing with you about Jake and Amy when S3 of B99 starts.

the-omniscient-narrator -  I love seeing your reactions to The Flash and Pixar and Marvel and basically all the things that leave us emotionally wrecked. I'm honoured to have you as one of my mutuals and I'm glad you enjoy my liveblogs. Here's hoping we get some Westallen goodness in S2 and that TPTB stop torturing us!

steelmeltingsmile -  You're the reason I joined tumblr in the first place and I'm so glad I did. Tumblr's become such a great outlet for me for all of my fandoms and it's nice to know that there's a place that I can go to if I ever want to squee with you about Naley or Chuck and Sarah or Jim and Pam. Mini-series or not, they billed the hell out of it as a "four-week comedy extravaganza!" heavily IMPLYING that it was, yes four weeks long. You can't really get pissed at people for seeing "four-week comedy extravaganza!" and not somehow magically understanding that to mean "uh four weeks for now I guess" and feeling cheated when they committed to 4 weeks of it and find out there's more. It's not *our* fault we were misled, so stop the bashing.

Um wow, I really don’t see how I was “bashing” anyone and I don’t see how I was “pissed at people”.  If you read through my post you’d see that I commented on the people who were upset abou the cliffhangers and saying that it was a mini-series and that the point of my post was to explain that the show was not a mini-series. The article that I provided a link to even explained that yes it is the network PR’s people fault for false advertising and they do play mind tricks on the fans. I believe I even said “I’m sorry if you mistakenly believed that it was a mini-series”. Now if you’d like to come off of anon and explain to me wish part of my previous post was “bashing”, I will apologize for that, but I won’t apologize for clarifying to people that the show was actually not a mini-series and trying to garner support for it.

GALAVANT IS NOT A MINI-SERIES!

All right so I've seen a lot of people raging about "how dare they end the show like that?!" and "WTF it was supposed to be a mini-series!!" My fellow viewers, Galavant is NOT a mini-series. It is a limited series. This means that it has less episodes/season not that it has a story that is contained to just one season. This also means that the showrunners have always been hoping for a second season. This is not a bait and switch, they did not trick you, and I'm sorry if you mistakenly believed that it was a mini-series. The cast did do interviews before the season finale saying that there would be cliffhangers and various Galavant blogs posted about how the viewers needed to watch the show, tweet #RenewGalavant, and buy the music to make the network see that there is an audience for the show. I made this post urging people to watch the show so that it would not get cancelled:

As the Cancellation Bear has noted many times, the mind tricks that the network PR Jedi are able to play with the term "limited series" befuddle many fans. It behooves the PR Jedi to keep up the confusion, because when a limited series fails, they can spin its single season as the plan all along.

For those who are still confused, a limited series is one that has a limited number of episodes per season (fewer than the "full" 22 episode season), NOT a limited number of seasons.

If a limited series does well, it will be renewed, as happened with Under The Dome, The Following and Sleepy Hollow, etc. If it does badly, it will be canceled and not return, like what happened with Gracepoint, The Assets, Killer Women, etc.

Galavant started reasonably well, but by episode three its ratings had gone fractional. It's now certain to be canceled and not return next season.

Agent Carter's prediction has now slipped to "toss up" after its ratings results last week.

Now this article says that Galavant is certain to be cancelled and I know the season finale just aired and it was up against the SAGs but there is still time to change ABC's mind. If you want to see a second season of the show please watch it online on their website, on hulu, or through other legal means. Please buy the music from itunes. Please signal boost this and let people know that it was never intended to be a mini-series. Please tag your Galavant posts so more people will find Galavant related things and find out what they can do to try and save this show.
