So today Schletter was like talking to me about the stuff in the clarinet goodie bags and he was talking about this little Mickey Mouse key chain I put in there and HE PUT IT ON HIS CHRISTMAS TREE :') <3 and then he was really surprised when I told him it was from Peru and that I didn't make it lol (which makes me even happier because like he thought I made him something and that's even more endearing because like idk it just is) 

... on another note I just feel like hes one of my parents lmao

Almost every member of my section sent me a funny text about changing unis tomorrow omg I love these babies bahahahahhah

I think since I've become clarinet captain I've gotten way better at fixing instruments because I was really hating how I sounded on my solo and I was like "hmm what if I try to fix my old concert horn that's been broken for a year" and last year I just looked at it like "uggh whatttttt?" and I just managed to fix it and its so much better <3_<3 like seriously dying

so my mom told me that at her meeting she thanked Schlett for letting me be in 2nd hour and he said I was his "little assistant" UuU we're besties and no one can deny

So I had required reading for Lit and there was a footnote that said "Respice finem" which is latin for "Look toward the end" and I think Im going to put that on the clarinet shirts because idk Its basic but I think its beautiful and it really ties into marching band and all of its delayed gratification and what not

by far the best decision I have made so far senior year is doubling up band classes and being in the percussion class. That is the only class all day that I can just chill and practice while simultaneously studying for other classes
