Provisional drawings for the pod construction include a sequential axonometric for assembly and a sectional perspective showing a detailed section. Decision was made to remove the corner glazing to provide for maximum stability. The servicing issue was brought up. Servicing will be placed on the inside of the pods and provided with galvanized steel tubes, providing a raw look and adding to the industrial look of the concept. Introduction of brass panel cladding was made due to an aqueous context and was found to be very useful.

3rd Year Diploma Thesis

Inspired by the Archigram movement, this is a film house for independent firms.

Not gonna lie, it being the third and last year long project in my diploma years, I wanted to “go crazy” and make it “wild” even before the start of the process. Thankfully, I have learnt previously to focus on the present and to follow through with what I believe in, which is spending time and effort in research and concept development rather than have preconceived ideas and forms.

The result exceeded my expectations due to a special tutor who has pushed the imaginative side of it and yet focused my ideas, allowing this concentrated extract of my intent to stand out. ( Really very blessed to have dedicated educators so far )

Archigram can actually be a reality, as with the advancement of technology since then, everything can now be a more seamless and ever changing scenery.
