Supernatural: The Rising Son: Reaction (Spoilers)
It’s not the power that is feared, but the potential.
After seeing Jack Kline laugh at Scooby Doo, I really can’t think of him as evil. Just because he’s the son of Lucifer, doesn’t mean he’s like his dad. Thinking about it, this show really gives you an idea on how you cannot judge one by their family. Let’s take Lucifer for example. One could argue that God/Chuck and the rest of Lucifer’s sibs are “bad” for having let him end up the way he did but we consider only him the odd man out. Plus I’m sure we all have that one family member that has caused some drama but we don’t want to be judged by their actions. I get that Dean is scared and wants nothing more than to see Jack taken down at this moment but they will need him to save Mary plus he may just be the very person to keep Lucifer in line if necessary.
With Asmodeus taking charge of Hell, it’s safe to say the demons that are left are going to be worked to the bone. The more demons he “purges” the less that Sam and Dean have to deal with though the ones left alive are presumably going to be among the stronger ones. With Lucifer out of the picture for a while, I’m guess Asmodeus’ ultimate goal will be to use Jack to awaken the sedim. Thankfully Jack is powerful enough to send him away even without the full awareness of his powers but he’ll have to be taught how to use them if they’re to have any hope of keeping the sedim sealed away.
Seeing Donatello was a bit of a surprise since I thought he was killed after having his soul absorbed by Amara but hey, one less death is always good and the brothers always need their allies, especially since his prophet status acts as an nephilim GPS. At least his soulless status means he’s less likely to feel afraid and the whole “What would Mr. Rogers do?” is kind of funny.
Next time: A wrath hunting psychics.
