Sedona
I’ve thought for several years that Sedona was one of the most remarkable and romantic places on earth. The red rocks and buttes spiral heavenward, their shapes take on dimensional images for your imagination to define… monks, children at play, cowboy hats, pillars of tootsie rolls, or cathedral spires. Thin white layers ribbon through the deep red rock visible from Schenbly Hill road, a Mecca for 4-wheeling off-road enthusiasts.
The town is a gem populated with commerce to accommodate the mass of tourist who seek resorts, gift shops, and quirky boutiques. But some come for vortexes of transformational energy that are believed to offer electromagnetic healing.
But for me, I’m in awe. I wish I could paint it, express it some other way than mere pictures or words. This is one of those places that seem almost spiritual. I have returned to this spot that I will always love and and hold on to those memories forever.
