Hosted a Drawpile earlier today and this happened XD. Aaah, these were so fun :D.

Artists featured are @goblin-bravs, @trollerskates, Drobvirks, and @colourwheelking :D

Oh, and if you don’t know what Drawpile is, it’s a drawing program that lets you draw on the same canvas at the same time as bunch of other people. Multiplayer drawing :D. Great thing is it’s free/open-source and available on Windows, Mac, and Linux so pretty much anyone can use it.

Since I can’t stream until I get a new computer, I’ll try to host Drawpile sessions as regularly as I can. They’ll be listed as ‘Everblue’ under Session > Join... > Find... :).

Random case of MNA finding a cool comic way late and while it is on temporary hiatus: Seed by Said P is great.

Briefly: Great art, gradually developing story, very intriguing take on AI and a computer that’s abilities aren’t limited to simply hacking any technology instantly, but able to read and manipulate human actions, which is even more frightening but also very cool. The technology in Seed is advanced but not so far out in the future that you can’t see how we got there. Less “five minutes into the future,” maybe “30 minutes”

Perhaps the most interesting thing for me is the constant uncertainty on who can be trusted, especially with Turry. You might expect the rogue AI to either be Skynet or Johnny 5 (you all got that reference right?), at the very least after a chapter or so when they can have a big drop moment and from that point we can call Turry a villain or ally…but it’s never that simple. The AI remains a character/force that is either grey or simply inscrutable and you’re not clear on whether Emma, our main human protagonist, is doing the right thing in trying to understand and relate to him, or if she is setting herself up for a massive disaster. Worth checking out and binging!
