Summary: Slipstream is sitting on a rooftop, contemplating things, when Monarch stumbles across her. After he agreed to have a chat with her with the AVA, he sits down and asks a few questions about her fight with Polaris, which Slipstream gladly elaborates on. 

After a little bit her home life comes up, and Monarch suggests enrolling in a college to get her out of her home and doing something a little better than self-proclaimed villainy, and they part on good terms, even if Slipstream is a little starstruck (and embarrassed that he has a boyfriend)

RP Summary: A Good Man Is Hard To Find

Characters: Arty and Monarch, ft. special guest appearance by Reuben

Content warnings: Mentions of child abuse

Summary: Arty, in the middle of a rooftop stakeout for work, has a chance encounter with Monarch, while the hero is on patrol. The two chat while Arty tries to catch a man in the act of cheating on his wife, and learn quite a lot about each other in a short span of time. Arty is appalled by the fact that Monarch apparently never takes breaks or sick days, or has anyone close to him to make sure he’s taking care of himself, and offers to buy him food at a nearby diner. After Arty gets what he needs from the stakeout, the two stop off at the diner, and Monarch has a crying jag about Arty buying him a milkshake. They take their food back to the apartment above Requiem, where they briefly run into Reuben, whom Arty fills in on the situation. Monarch also reveals his civilian identity to Arty and Reuben, turning his powers off once inside their apartment.
