I was poking around some records of my mother's father. He died when my mom was fifteen, I think, and I don't care as much about him but it's easier to track him down. His name is a really historically prominent one in mid-Michigan. (Not, as in, politically powerful, but as in, there were a fuckton of them.) I was just using him as a way to familiarize myself with a few local history resources I've never tried out.

I knew he was from rural Genesee county. His name was a Davison-Goodrich name, but I dug up his records in Atlas Township. There's a good chance my maternal grandfather was born in the building where Lucas used to play pillow hockey.
