Seen While Out….
While Steve was in Bunnings yesterday, I waited in the car, reading, and this is what happened. You should have been there with me…..
I'm reading in the car and in the bay right in front of me, Dad, tall and thin, Mum, overweight and with an impressive set of back-boobs, and a gormless teenage daughter, are all trying to insert a panel of lattice into the back of their station wagon. The panel is roughly 8 x 5 feet I’m guessing. First attempt failed, so out it came while daughter was told to “get everything out,” that was already in the back. With the area around the car now surrounded by all this detritus, attempt number two is about to happen. There’s lots of struggling, pushing, wife and daughter scuttling back and forth obeying yelled instructions from Dad, to open doors and “help from inside!” Back and forth they all go, gormless daughter getting more truculent as Dad gets louder, louder! Third attempt starts, hahaha, this is better than being at the movies!
.....Poor Dad. There's now a rip in the ceiling fabric of the car but the lattice is in! He's sent wife and daughter off, together, to take it home, while he waits (and tries to recover) with a second sheet, plus a half full trolley, for them to return. He's looking a bit frazzled, (should I offer him a cup of tea from my thermos?) I've no idea how the two girls are going to get the first sheet of lattice out, after he resorted to kicking it into place to get the door shut.
I had to be careful my chuckles weren’t overheard!
Ah well, c'est la vie!
